NEWSLETTER
Dear SOS Family,
We are excited to provide you an update on the work that our Lord is doing in our midst! So much ministry has taken place since our March newsletter. It is impossible to include it all. Below is a small sample of some of the things that have occurred.
Our prayer is that you are encouraged by this update and the stories shared. All that is included below is ultimately made possible because of your faithful prayers and support. Thank you as always for being such an important part of the work that our Lord is doing in our community.

SHEPHERDS TRAINING CENTER
Accreditation Update

On the week of April 25th we shared the exciting news that a subcommittee from the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) visited SOS in order to evaluate Shepherds Training Center's facilities, paperwork, and readiness to open up as a degree-awarding institution. We are grateful that the two days of meetings went extremely well. If you missed this update, please click HERE. We ask for your continued prayers as we are still waiting to hear back from the council as to the status of STC's accreditation. We will keep you updated!
COMMUNITY BIBLE CHURCH
Easter Service & Youth Camp

CBCK EASTER SERVICE
We hope you and your family had a wonderful Easter celebrating our risen Savior! Easter here in Kubamitwe was a full day of celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ through worship, skits, and the preaching of God's word. After the service many gathered together to share a meal with one another.

CBCK YOUTH CAMP
One month ago an incredible team of 19 volunteers from Community Bible Church of Kubamitwe (CBCK) put on a camp for the youth who live in our community and the surrounding villages. Our team ministered to 162 young men and women. The theme of the camp was biblical purity and holiness. There was food, fun, and of course, the teaching of God's Word!

SERVING OUR COMMUNITY
Providing Mobility & Eye Care

On May 6th our community outreach team, in partnership with Dr. M from Kampala, saw 194 individuals who were in need of eye care. It was a joy to be able to serve our community in this way!
We are also grateful to have had a team from Joni & Friends on campus for a visit. While visiting, the team conducted disability awareness training for our Shepherds Training Center pastors and Legacy Christian Academy teachers!
KARUMA MEN'S CONFERENCE
Encouraging Pastors | Building Up the Saints

On April 20th through the 23rd a small team from SOS had the opportunity to share at a men's conference in Karuma, Uganda, which is 3 hours north of Kubamitwe. This was a special time, as the pastor of the hosting church is a former Shepherds Training Center student who had recently been called to pastor this church. The SOS team was able to encourage this new pastor and build up the local church through teaching and worship.
