A. Approximately 95% of the funds we receive go directly to SOS ministry efforts. Contributions to SOS go a long way, as we rely upon local nationals and volunteers.
SOS biblical teaching and training is supported and amplified by ministering to the person building relationships, loving people, and modeling Christ. Although an organization with the depth and breadth of SOS relies on donations for a huge variety of supplies and programs, including school resources, our biggest area of need at this time is housing for our Shepherds Training College students and their families as they learn to lead a Godly household to become examples for their future congregations. A significant portion of your donation may go toward the building of those facilities.

A. While we can assure you that all donations are stewarded with care and accountability, we also know the comfort and joy of knowing the direct impact your gift is making. We’re happy to help you Sponsor a Child so that you can put a face and a name with your giving. Please know that since our ministry is spread wider than organizations that focus solely on child sponsorship, you may only get occasional updates and communication regarding the child you sponsor—but your money will be received with thankful hearts and he/she will know who you are and that you are being the hands and feet of Jesus by giving your support.

We will not sell, share or trade our donors’ names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations.
This policy applies to all information received by SOS Ministries, both online and offline, on any platform (“Platform” includes SOS website and mobile applications), as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications.
To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation and for sending donors the annual donation receipt for tax purposes. Donors are occasionally sent communications from SOS Ministries, such as the electronic newsletter and special event announcements. Donors may “opt out” of these communications at any time.
