To effect change broadly and deeply, we expand our reach outside of Legacy Academy and Shepherd’s Training Center, joining hands with even more people of our community both through SOS-facilitated community programs and outreach from the local church we helped to establish.
Ongoing community programs:
- Assisting families impacted by disabilities in Kubamitwe and surrounding villages, in partnership with Joni and Friends, by providing functioning wheelchairs to those in need.
- Community movie nights.
- Soccer tournaments.
- Monthly local leadership meetings.
- Farming principles workshops to increase sustainability and access to a balanced diet.
