Dan is a 15 year old boy with Cerebral Palsy.
He was born healthy until he suddenly became ill with fever and seizures. He was only a few months old when he was diagnosed with severe malaria, which was suspected to be the cause of his condition.
Like most teenagers, Dan loves hanging out with friends and family and being outside, but because he is unable to walk and talk, his life can be extremely challenging.
When SOS’s Community Outreach team reached Dan’s home, they immediately signed him up for a wheelchair, which he soon received. When he received his wheelchair, it was such an encouragement to see the freedom it gave him to explore as it eased his movement struggles now that he could be wheeled wherever he wanted to go.
On top of that, through SOS’s partnership with Joni & Friends, Dan’s home was improved by the construction of a ramp. With the ramp, it is now easy for Dan to be ridden in and out of his house.
Please keep Dan in your prayers. There are still many challenges that he faces each and every day as a 15 year-old boy with Cerebral Palsy. Pray for the relationship that our Community Outreach team has been able to form with Dan and his family, that it may be an inroad to sharing the love of Jesus Christ and the Gospel.
